You can be a part of the action at one of the most crucial checkpoints for the Iron Dog racers. This is ‘The World’s Longest, Toughest Snowmobile Race’ covering 2,030 miles of Alaska’s toughest terrain. The first day is sometimes one of the most difficult as the racers have to navigate the rugged Alaska Range and strategically place themselves in competitive order. Rainy Pass Lodge is your well-placed checkpoint for refueling, safety, and repairs and a place to rest for these weary travelers. Whether you’re a racer wanting to reserve a room for your overnight or a fan coming to cheer on your team, we can accommodate your needs. During this time of year, we provide meals, lodging, gasoline for sale, and much more.
Check out IRON DOG for more information and a schedule of events.
Meals are available for purchase: We are well known for our very tasty home-cooked meals. You will not go hungry. Coffee and cookies are always free.
Gasoline prices vary due to normal cost fluctuation and the cost of air travel to bring it out here: Price may vary without notice. We sell gasoline as a service to our guests more than a money maker for the lodge and we try to keep the price as low as we can for you. We may also be able to store gasoline for you at no charge if you have a better way of getting it out here.
